Leveraging Recruitment Metrics Workshop

This workshop teaches Lead Recruiters and Recruiting Managers what to measure, how to measure it, and most importantly, how to use what they measure to make better decisions, highlight success and opportunity areas, drive change, make quality business cases, and maximize the ROI of their investments.

What do we focus on?

  • How to capture critical data you need to effectively evaluate recruiting ROI and drive quality investment decisions around your strategy, process, and resource model.
  • How to make a business case for additional resources or budget, and sell it to the execs.
  • How to translate data into key metrics that measure productivity, progress versus plan, time, costs, quality, candidate experience, and hiring manager satisfaction.
  • How to leverage metrics as a way to show progress to the business leaders and motivate Hiring Managers.

It’s real world
We know that there are 50-plus different recruiting metrics you could measure. Metrics are a means to an end. Our focus is to help you identify the most impactful metrics that will help you demonstrate progress to the business, motivate managers, secure funding for your strategies, and benchmark with other organizations.

It’s tailored to your world
We work with you ahead of time to understand what metrics you have been tracking, how you’re measuring your success, and what the business cares most about. Then, we make sure our training teaches you how to leverage the metrics that are most critical for your function or department.  We do this by holding a focus group call with you and/or your recruiting managers to ensure our scenarios and approaches align well to your goals.

It’s focused on more than just formulas
Recruiting Managers need to know how to interpret and explain their metrics and results, and possess a deep understanding of the assumptions and data sources that influence their metrics, so we go beyond formulas to prepare you to “roll out” these metrics in your organization.

Who should attend?

  • Experienced Corporate Recruiters and Recruiting/HR Managers and Leaders.  Generally, it doesn’t make financial sense to engage us for onsite recruiting leadership training unless you have at least 6 recruiting leaders who will attend.
  • Note: We also offer an invite-only Recruiting Leadership Lab (public workshop) in select cities to high-potential managers from corporate recruiting teams. If you’re a smaller organization, you can send just 1 of your recruiting leaders to this workshop. While it’s not customized to your world, we do select scenarios that are common across companies.

We conduct a focus group call with your recruiting leaders before we design your training. This helps us to customize the content by learning more about the skill level of the managers who will attend and also learning to speak your “language”. It also helps your team get comfortable with us, our approach, and our expertise.

Who delivers the workshop?

Our workshop facilitators are former corporate recruiting leaders who have successfully implemented the metrics, strategies, tools, and approaches we’ll share with your teams. Your recruiting leaders will know – right away – that our team has walked the talk.

Do we get tools and templates?

Yes! We include templates and tools to help recruiting managers effectively measure their function and use the metrics to lead.

  • Customizable Recruiting Plans and Reports
  • Key Metrics Formulas
  • Business Case Development Checklist
  • Recruiter Headcount Justification/Funding Model

We include tools/templates with every workshop we deliver. These are designed to help the training “live on” after the workshop is over. We’re happy to incorporate your existing tools/templates with this training, too, as it can help you to drive adoption and make the workshop feel more integrated with your existing process.

After the training, Recruiting Leaders head back to their desks with insights and tools to help them leverage metrics better.  This is not some theoretical workshop focused on the importance of metrics; it’s all about the “how to.”

How long is the workshop?

It depends on the agenda we custom-build for you, but – in general – these workshops are a quarter to half a day.
