Lori Russo brings a unique blend of marketing, advertising, and talent acquisition experience to Recruiting Toolbox. She spent much of her early career in digital marketing and advertising, developing digital marketing strategies for Fortune 500 brands. She made the transition to recruiting after she was hand-picked by TripAdvisor’s CEO to rebuild their global talent acquisition organization. Following TripAdvisor she scaled and rebuilt talent acquisition teams for both large organizations and startups like Salsify. She’s one of those people who gets it done, despite barriers.
She has successfully built strong recruiting teams and processes, selected and implemented applicant tracking systems, developed and implemented employment brand and candidate experience strategies, implemented hiring and interview training, and most importantly, she has continuously built strong partnerships, gaining the respect and trust of leaders and peers.
Lori is passionate about transparent and inclusive cultures where everyone has the same opportunity to shinebright. She loves when the entire people team works together to create amazing employee and candidate experiences. She believes when done well, the result is something special and plays a significant role in hiring the best talent for the company. Lori has been a featured panelist at Startup Boston, and speaker at Talent42, multiple ERE conferences, and LinkedIn Talent Connect.
She draws from her passion of coaching softball and leads with a discipline towards fundamentals, teamwork, and business alignment. When not dorking out on the best hiring strategies, Lori can be found coaching her kids in baseball and softball, or in the boxing ring training for her spot on the Olympic USA boxing team. #onecanonlydream 🙂
