TESTS AND TOOLS TO HELP YOU EVALUATE TECH SKILLS

A lot of our clients will require software engineering candidates to complete coding test (in the language of their choice) before the tech phone screen, by an engineer or the hiring manager. If they fail the test, the recruiter declines the candidate. If they pass, the test results or actual code produced is passed to the tech phone screener, who then reviews the code with the candidate over the phone and, sometimes, via a screen share. The tech phone screener will often use the code to further test their coding skills; they'll ask them to explain their code or introduce new constraints, and ask them to adapt their code to new performance, scalability goals.

Skype, Google Hangouts, join.me and other screen sharing tools are often used to help facilitate better coding/design oriented screens.

RECRUITING TOOLBOX WORKS WITH LEADING TECHNOLOGY TEAMS TO RAISE THE BAR ON TECH HIRING

Recruiting Toolbox has been engaged by the world's leading technology companies, including Amazon.com, Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, Yahoo!, and Electronic Arts, to help improve their recruiting capabilities.

We also work with non-tech companies, who seek to raise the bar on tech hiring, including leaders like Groupon, Target, T-Mobile, Zulily, and TripAdvisor.

How do we help? We partner with recruiting, HR and tech leadership teams to build sourcing capabilities, better recruiting and interviewing processes, and custom training (recruiters, sourcers, interviewers, hiring managers), all with a focus on helping companies find, engage, recruit, and select the right tech talent for their tech teams.

You can learn more by exploring this website, including our Real World Consulting, Custom Training Workshops, Public Tech Sourcing Labs, and The National Tech Recruiting Conference, Talent42, produced by the team at Recruiting Toolbox.
