Ben Gotkin draws from over 25 years of recruiting experience in tactical and strategic leadership roles at organizations including Marriott International, RSM, The MITRE Corporation, Intelsat and BAE Systems. In each of these roles, Ben has been a strategic leader in the development of fundamentally strong recruitment strategies and process, the applications of recruiting technology, advocating collaboration and community building, utilizing metrics to improve performance, providing interviewing training to management and staff, and developing out-of-the-box approaches to identify and engage talent. He also has had significant experience with building referral and social media programs, the implementation of Applicant Tracking Systems, technology evaluation, and the development of sourcing, employment branding and college recruiting strategies.
Ben was also the Co-Founder and First Executive Director of the Association of Talent Acquisition Professionals, and Founder and Past-President of recruitDC, non-profit organizations devoted to advancing the Talent Acquisition profession. He has also been the author of numerous articles and blogs, has been quoted in numerous national publications, and has been a featured speaker and panelist at the ERE Conference, Recruiting Trends Conference, SourceCon, Social Recruiting Strategies Conference and at many other local recruiter group events.
Ben is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Ben and his family live near Washington, DC.
