To be honest, if you’re seeking an inexpensive 12 hour lunchandlearn overview on basic behavioral interviewing techniques, we’re probably not a good match, as you can find free resources online or hire an HR Generalist or general trainer to deliver a quick overview program that teaches people how to ask “tell me about a time” questions. The Predicting Success program leverages behavioral interviewing, for sure, but goes well beyond that to deliver an evidencebased interviewing methodology and tools that teach people how to hire against the skills, attributes/competencies, experience and track record, and motivators needed to be a success at YOUR company – not just general oneonone interviewing techniques/questions, but a program that’s custom built around your hiring bar and criteria, arm your interviewers with questions and answers to help them evaluate past and present performance as well as fit within your culture, and give you an interviewing process that not only leads to the right tradeoffs/decisions, but creates a great candidate experience, as well.
We’re typically hired by Clevel execs at startups and recruiting and HR directors/VPs at medium and larger sized companies. We’ve worked with diverse clients across geographies and industries, from giant high tech companies to national retailers to local school districts. Our clients typically share one thing in common: they want to improve the way their hiring teams interview and select talent, and need a partner who gets them, and won’t just offer the generic, off the shelf behavioral interviewing training that so many companies offer – they need a partner who will help them improve their interviewing process, build custom interviewing guides to help them hire the talent that’s right for their culture and roles, and deliver it in a way that energizes – sometimes skeptical – hiring managers and interviewers to actually use the methodology and tools needed to hire top talent.
￼￼￼￼Yes, many companies – with their own learning and development or recruiting/HR teams – hire us to build the training, deliver a few pilots, and then train up their internal (or external) trainers to deploy the workshop to their offices. As former practitioners, we partner well with key stakeholders across your organization to ensure the trainer’s program and trainer’s guide work for your trainers.
￼￼￼No. While our team members have all spent years recruiting and leading recruitment teams for some of the world’s most interesting companies, we don’t apply our handson recruiting expertise to searches. We are not a search firm. Instead, we leverage our years of inhouse and consulting successes to help other companies – our clients – improve their inhouse interviewing and recruiting capabilities. We teach companies to fish.
￼￼￼￼￼￼￼Our team is based across the U.S., and we deliver most of our training onsite with clients, in their training rooms. We can also deliver training via webinars. And some of our clients have hired us to train their internal trainers and/or help them build online versions, so that they can leverage the training without the travel costs and fees associated with traditional classroom training. We typically complete the focus group and discovery work virtually, which allows us to start the project faster and keep travel costs to a minimum.
￼￼￼￼￼￼No. We don’t represent or sell any third party products, and we don’t accept commissions from any third party firms that we may recommend to our clients, including assessment firms or tools. We have strong opinions about which vendors do quality work, but those opinions are not swayed by kickbacks or commissions.
